Easter

Maya woke up early Easter morning surprised to see the Easter Bunny had come and hid their baskets. She began searching frantically and found her basket in less than a minute, not enough time for me to get an action picture, but she kindly possed in place when I grabbed the camera. The clue the Easter Bunny told Mom was, "I looked out the window and what did I see, popcorn popping on the apricot tree." But Maya was quick enough that she didn't need the clue.
Desire'e on the other hand needed her clue which was, " You better find your basket before the doggy does." It was hidden under her stuffed dog on the couch. Both the girls had no problem dipping right into the candy and throwing their new groovy sunglasses on.
Later on in the day, Blake barbecued while me and the girls got our hands messy in dying eggs. It was a beautiful Easter Sunday enjoyed with just our small family.










Later that night I called my Mom and family to wish them a Happy Easter. I had called in the middle of their special Easter discussion at the dinner table, so my Mom decided to put me on speaker phone and be apart of the discussion. They were going around the table and saying what they were most grateful for relating to our Savior. It kind of got me thinking, and other than that he made it possible for us to return to our Heavenly Father through His atonement, I am most grateful that He is the greatest example in all things pertaining to our individual characteristics and actions we make. If we are ever questioning a certain action we can always ask ourselves, "What would He do?" I know that I am not perfect, but I know that through Him and by following His example I can become perfect.
